Boustany Receives Award for Consistent Voting Record from American Conservative Union

Statement

Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D. (R-South Louisiana), released the following statement after recently being named an "ACU Conservative" by the American Conservative Union (ACU). The award was presented as a result of his conservative voting record in Congress:

"I am honored to receive this recognition from the ACU. This reward is a direct reflection of my conservative voting record. I will remain a strong advocate on Capitol Hill for the people of South Louisiana and a consistent supporter for the core conservative principles of: lower taxes, reduced government spending, personal responsibility, traditional values, and national security."
