Pearce, Holder Must Answer for Fast and Furious

U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce has joined with 48 other members of Congress to introduce House Resolution 35, a resolution of no confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, calling for the Attorney General's resignation.

"It is unacceptable that this administration presses for gun control and background checks for law-abiding citizens, while refusing to address the gun crimes of its own Attorney General," said Pearce. "The American people deserve answers and justice, but all they've gotten from the White House is a cover-up. Despite subpoenas and public outrage, the Attorney General remains uncooperative, gives conflicting information, and refuses to answer Congress, the American people, and the family of slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry."

Pearce has consistently called for Holder's resignation, and was an original cosponsor of a resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress last year. Holder has failed to produce subpoenaed documents related to Operation Fast and Furious, a botched program in which the Obama administration allowed weapons to "walk" into Mexico. One of these weapons was used in the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
