As a recreational hiker, kayaker, and boating enthusiast I have seen firsthand many of the beautiful areas in our great state, and know how fragile the balance between the environment and development can be. I have also had the pleasure of being married to an environmental engineer for the past 30 plus years. Pollution has taken a terrible toll on our planet and the many species that live here, including humans, over the past 100 years. As we move forward we must keep an ever vigilant eye on that delicate balance between progress and the quality of water, air and land on which we live. I will work with my fellow representatives to enact legislation to protect our precious natural resources while enabling their use to grow our economy.
