Issue Position

A quality education gives our children the opportunity to succeed. Exceptional schools and a highly educated workforce also attract better jobs to our state. So I consider education my top priority. If we want better student performance, we need reduced class sizes and more preparation for college and careers. If we want first-rate teachers we need competitive salaries and accountability. If we want to support our students, we need to pay more than just lip service--we need to commit to funding education in our state budget. If elected, I will truly support our students, our teachers and our neighborhood schools in the Utah State Legislature.
