Statement

I voted against passage of the continuing resolution both because it funds Obamacare and because it fails to address key concerns regarding foreign aid particularly in light of recent terrorist attacks in the Middle East and North Africa that led to the killing of our Ambassador in Libya and three other Americans serving at the consulate in Benghazi. Foreign aid is an issue that must continuously be reevaluated in light of our ever-changing global strategic relationships. This week's events highlight the need for greater scrutiny in this area.
