The Choice Is Yours

Statement

Rarely has America faced such a clear choice. Democrats have told us that we belong to the government. Republicans insist that the government belongs to us. That really is the choice on November 6. Do you want a bigger federal government, with more and more people depending on it for their very survival? Or do you want a smaller, leaner federal government, one that works for us?

President Obama and the Democrats have consistently pushed for a federal government that will control more and more of your life. They started with Obamacare, passing a health care bill that the majority of Americans were opposed to behind closed doors, with no opportunity for opposition or debate. Then they followed that up with massive regulations controlling virtually every aspect of our lives. They poured millions of dollars into businesses controlled by partisan Democrat supporters, and then admitted that their claim of shovel-ready jobs was a myth.

Now we have forty-seven million Americans depending on food stamps to survive, and over 14 million are desperately looking for jobs. Republicans are a compassionate group. We strongly believe in a safety net for our fellow citizens when they are in trouble. What we don't believe in is the idea of giving good people a handout, when they really need a hand up.

Americans are self sufficient. We have always been so. We will find a way to get things done. We will always find a way to help each other when one of us needs help.
