Question: How did you vote on the continuing resolution?

Answer: I voted in favor of the continuing resolution, H.J. Res 117, to prevent a government shutdown. This resolution keeps the federal government funded through March 27, 2013. It includes $1.047 trillion for funding of government operations without any earmarks -- a $26.6 billion cut in spending from the current fiscal year. While sustaining this decrease, Congress still was able to increase funding for Wildfire Management by $23 million.

This resolution passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 329 to 91. It currently awaits action by the Senate.
