Issue Position

* I will work to hold the line on taxes for the middle class, because I believe a strong middle class is the key to economic growth.

* I will work to close the "Las Vegas Loophole" which was partially re-opened by Republicans in the last biennial budget. The "Las Vegas Loophole" allows companies that do business in multiple states to use pre-2009 losses to offset profits for 20 years while prohibiting the state Revenue Department from challenging certain tax avoidance strategies by those companies, costing our state tens of millions of dollars in revenue. Companies that do business in Wisconsin should pay taxes in Wisconsin, especially at a time when our state has seen massive budget cuts to education and health care, among other programs.
