Heller Statement on Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement regarding the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks:

"Today we come together as a nation to honor the victims of September 11, 2001. In the wake of this tragic event, America's strength never wavered and our resolve as a nation proved unbeatable. We will never forget the thousands of innocent people who lost their lives or the incredible sacrifices made by our country's brave first responders who stood against tyranny and displayed extraordinary courage. Since 9/11, our men and women in uniform have been placed in harm's way to defend our homeland. Today we are reminded of all they have done to protect freedom and democracy. We also remember those who lost their lives in service to this country and demonstrated remarkable bravery while defending our liberties. While we will never forget that fateful day, the resiliency of the American people and the strength and courage of our nation has never been stronger," said Senator Heller.
