Senator Boxer: Tracking Hate Crimes Against Sikh Americans

Dear Friend:

Today I joined a bipartisan group of Senators in writing to Attorney General Eric Holder, urging him to improve the collection and tracking of data on hate crimes committed against Sikh Americans.

The deadly August 5th attack at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin was just the latest hate crime committed against Sikhs in the United States. We are urging the Attorney General to take prompt action to ensure that hate crimes against Sikhs are recorded and tracked so that law enforcement can better allocate the resources needed to prevent and respond to these terrible crimes.
