Today Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) released the following statement in response to the recent lawsuit filed against Attorney General Eric Holder in order to obtain documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious.

"It is inexcusable that it has reached this point. Brian Terry's family deserves answers and the American people deserve to know the truth. There is no excuse for the Attorney General and White House to have obstructed this investigation. Operation Fast and Furious was a failure at all levels of the Justice Department, and Attorney General Holder needs to take responsibility for this botched gun-walking program."

Mack, a Member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has previously voted to find Holder in contempt and was one of the first members to call for Attorney General Holder's resignation in November 2011. The Obama-Holder botched "Fast and Furious" program resulted in the tragic death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
