Jobs are central to our regions future, but not just jobs that get us through the next election cycle. We need jobs that nourish for the next generation. These are high skilled, high paying jobs, many of which will come in the areas of agriculture, bio diesel, wind turbines, and renewable transportation fuels.

Jobs will also come when we have a job friendly business climate. High business taxes and increasing government mandates hurt business statewide. When having to compete with both South Dakota and Iowa for those jobs, too, puts an increased urgency to bring in high quality jobs.
