Issue Position

We need reforms to our current immigration policies. The current issue of 11+ million undocumented in our country needs solving. The Dream Act for the young who never were of age to choose to come here or to remain out of status needs to be passed, with a road toward citizenship for those who complete a defined level of school or serve in the military. Work visas need to be implemented to address the obvious need in our country for workers performing jobs not otherwise filled by our own citizens. Those persons long-term in this country who have otherwise been responsible need a path toward legalization, but perhaps behind those who have applied for and are still on waiting lists for legal entry or normalization.
