As an educator and children's non-profit director, I know firsthand that a quality education is the foundation for a brighter future for our children. Local communities must have the resources they need to provide the highest quality education possible. I believe that quality schools and colleges are essential for economic recovery and I will fight to decrease college tuition and smaller class sizes for K-12 schools.

Supporting K-12 Education

I believe that we need to reinvest in our schools. I will fight to close special interest tax loopholes that are depriving our public schools of billions of dollars in essential funding. California cannot rank at the bottom of the nation in terms of per pupil spending for schools and expect our students to be able to compete successfully. That is why I am supported by the California Teachers Association and the California Federation of Teachers.

Higher Education

Before teaching as an Adjunct Professor at CSU Fullerton, I attended Cerritos College and earned my Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Cal State Fullerton and a PhD at UC Riverside. I know the importance of an affordable quality education and believe that decreasing tuition fees and making higher education once again accessible to every student in California is essential for our economic recovery. That is why I am supported by the California Faculty Association.
