Today, U.S. Senate candidate Shelley Berkley issued the following statement welcoming Vice President Joe Biden to Las Vegas, where he is scheduled to speak at the National Council of La Raza's annual convention. Shelley spoke at the convention this past Saturday.

"I'd like to extend a warm Nevada welcome to Vice President Joe Biden today, where he is set to address the National Council of La Raza's annual convention in Las Vegas. Whether it is working to grow the economy and create new good-paying jobs that can't be outsourced, protecting Medicare and Social Security, or fighting for passage of the full DREAM Act, the Vice President and I share the same unwavering commitment to making sure Nevada middle-class families come first."
