Issue Position

We the people must respect and protect the Flag of the United States of America. In 1989 the Supreme Court decided that flag-burning was a freedom of speech, that decision took away a fundamental right - the right that every American citizen has to protect and respect the flag, which is the embodiment and sacred symbol of our nation. I will stand firm with the majority of Americans in defense of the flag. Let's not forget the blood and tears shed and the ultimate sacrifice made by patriots and fellow Americans in defense of our flag and our nation. If elected, it will be a great honor to support and vote for the Flag Protection Amendment authorizing Congress and the States to prohibit the act of desecration of the Flag of the United States of America. I will stand in opposition to leftists, radicals and liberals in Congress who have insisted that flag-burning is a freedom of speech.
