Issue Position

Unlike the Federal Government, the Georgia General Assembly passes a balanced budget every year. Doug has a strong record of supporting balanced, responsible budgets that eliminate waste. Doug has the courage to make the tough budget decisions, and to do it without raising taxes.

Doug has the courage to force every state agency and constitutional board to do the right thing and implement zero-based budgeting- a mandatory audit of every state department and agency to eliminate waste. Doug also supports mandatory drug testing for those on the welfare rolls, because government must not support illegal drug use and addiction.
