The NDAA is a bipartisan affront to civil liberties and the Constitution of the United States. It allows the Federal government to indefinitely detain citizens of this country without trial on the simple basis of the accusation of being a terrorist. Simple accusations started the Salem Witch Trials. A society that gives up liberty for security deserves neither, and my first act as a member of the House of Representatives would be to introduce legislation repealing this appalling act.
