Issue Position

Both my husband and I work in healthcare fields and have an inside perpective [sic] into the challenges healthcare faces. The cost of healthcare continues to spiral upward while insurance reimbursement rates continue to be cut. Increasing regulations and an ever-present concern over lawsuits have contributed to many doctor's practicing "defensive medicine". This leads to increased costs through unnecessary and redundant testing and treatments. I am for working to reduce the cost of healthcare by addressing tort reform and insurance reform both on the state and national levels.
