Issue Position

We need to stop supporting dictators around the world. We need to be very clear to our friends and foes alike that we stand for our basic values, and we will no longer tolerate oppression in exchange for supporting American financial and military interests. We should not have foreign policies driven by special interest groups. Americans stand up for American values, not special interest groups that work against our values.

I believe that people belong to their countries and their countries belong to the people. We should stand up for people who are fighting for freedom in their respective countries in ways that minimize violence. We need to be the voice for them and find diplomatic channels to bring prosperity to the people to foster relationships. We should not shy away from criticizing countries that violate human rights, and find ways to aggressively solve problems by taking the lead and working in concert with the world.
