Issues: Senior Citizens Entitlements and the Safety Net Health Insurance

As your candidate in the 1st Congressional District, I pledge to assist and protect the rights of elderly and disabled U.S. citizens. These individuals have earned their Social Security and Medicare benefits.

I will call for, and staunchly support, strengthening Social Security and Medicare, not weakening these keystone means of survival for retired Americans and those unable to work due to disabilities, often incurred on the job.

It is imperative to ensure that elderly and disabled Americans receive the benefits, during retirement or in the throes of infirmity, which they paid into during their working lifetime.
