Issue Position: Fiscal Responsibility

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2012

You know how to spend your own hard earned money better than anyone else. You know what your hopes and dreams are, and you know what you need for your family and children. The last thing we need in economically depressing times is a politician in Denver taking more of your money.

It is my desire to be a strong voice in Denver for hard working families across State House District 47, and I will be a vote and a voice to keep more of your money in your pockets. It is my philosophy that we cannot tax ourselves out of the current economic situation that Colorado faces. We must serve our constituents in such a way that we can create jobs, end unnecessary burdens on our small businesses, and protect our quality of life in the Lower Arkansas Valley.

Businesses across Fremont, Otero and Pueblo Counties need to know that I recognize that they are the JOB CREATORS in this economy, and they don't need any further mandates or government telling them how to run their business.

I believe in capitalism at its core, and I also know that we know how to make businesses work in our communities. We don't need Denver to tell us how to serve our patrons and clients.

Fiscal responsibility matters!
