Michelle Lujan Grisham announced today that she earned a spot on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's (DCCC) highly competitive Red-to-Blue program. Lujan Grisham has surpassed demanding fundraising, organizing, and infrastructure goals and skillfully demonstrated to voters that she is a problem-solver who will protect the middle class when elected to Congress.

"Michelle Lujan Grisham is a proven fighter for New Mexico families and seniors who has dedicated her life to solving problems," said DCCC Chairman Steve Israel. "She is focused on creating jobs, strengthening the middle class, and protecting Medicare and Social Security. Her Republican opponent Janice Arnold-Jones is in line with out of touch Republicans in Congress and supports their plan to drastically cut Medicare, while giving tax breaks to millionaires, Big Oil, and companies shipping jobs overseas. Michelle Lujan Grisham has demonstrated she has what it takes to win this district."

Lujan Grisham said the recognition from the DCCC helps validate her decisive primary victory this week.

"New Mexico voters embraced me as an effective fighter for the Middle Class who will take on the Republicans and immediately work to create jobs, stand up for working families, and protect Medicare and Social Security," said Michelle Lujan Grisham. "Being named to the Red to Blue program reflects the strength of our campaign and means we have the support, confidence, and momentum to win in November."

The DCCC's Red to Blue program highlights top Democratic campaigns across the country, and offers them financial, communications, grassroots, and strategic support. The program will introduce Democratic supporters to new, competitive candidates in order to help expand the fundraising base for these campaigns.
