Hagan Tours FedEx Hub in Kernersville

U.S. Senator Kay R. Hagan (NC) toured the FedEx Ground Hub today in Kernersville that has brought more than 750 jobs to the Triad region and helped establish the region as a logistics hub for the Southeastern United States.

"The FedEx Ground Hub is a crucial component of the emerging logistics hub in the Triad," Hagan said. "Jobs are my number-one, number-two and number-three priorities. We must continue doing everything possible to encourage businesses to move to North Carolina to further establish a logistics hub that will boost our economy."

Hagan met with FedEx Vice President Kevin Koken and other members of the FedEx leadership before touring the facility. As part of her North Carolina Back to Work Jobs Tour, Hagan has traveled across North Carolina to listen to ideas about creating jobs and growing the economy from business owners and workers. Hagan is a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

About the FedEx Ground Hub

The 141,000 square foot facility is part of anationwide expansion of the FedEx network to boost daily package volume capacity and to enhance the company's speed and service capabilities.
