Dear friends,

On Monday many of us across the country remembered and honored those that gave their life in exchange for our freedom. We also gave thanks to the brave men and women who continue to fight for freedom around the world. Our commitment to those that serve in our armed forces should not end when they return home. We have a duty to provide them with medical care, resources to settle back into civilian life and making sure they can find employment.

This week in the House, we considered legislation related to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reform, flood insurance and appropriations for intelligence and military programs. I also participated in hearings that dealt with the President Obama's energy strategy and the barriers against lower health care costs for workers and employers.

As always, please visit my facebook and twitter pages for even more updates like these.
