New Barrett Ad Exposes Walker Failure on Job

Press Release

Date: April 30, 2012
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Issues: Elections

A new television ad released today by Barrett for Wisconsin exposes Scott Walker's complete failure on jobs. The message also highlights the pro-jobs agenda Tom Barrett will bring to the governor's office.

"Scott Walker campaigned on a promise of jobs, but when he took office he instead pursued an ideological agenda that threw Wisconsin into political turmoil that continues to divide our state," said Barrett. "We need a governor who will focus on jobs, not ideology, and that's the governor I will be for Wisconsin."

On Gov. Walker's watch, Wisconsin lost more jobs that any other state in the nation in 2011, and over the past 12 months Wisconsin lost 24,000 jobs -- the only state to suffer "statistically significant" job loss over that period.

The ad is running in multiple markets across the state. The script appears below, and the ad can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B73EB_xmhz0

Scott Walker promised.

"250,000 new jobs."

And Scott Walker delivered? Nothing.

In fact, last year Wisconsin lost more jobs than any state in the country.

It's time we had a Governor truly focused on creating jobs.

Tom Barrett will support Wisconsin manufacturers …

… bring high-tech, clean energy jobs …

… link tax incentives to job creation.

… and invest in education again.

Tom Barrett. He'll be the jobs Governor Wisconsin needs.
