Conservative Republican congressional candidate for NC-7 and 2010 nominee Ilario Pantano earned the endorsement of The Republican National Coalition for Life.

The Republican National Coalition for Life (RNC/Life) was founded by Phyllis Schlafly in the fall of 1990. Pantano, an author, businessman, and veteran of two wars, said the following:

"It is deeply humbling to be recognized by a conservative legend like Phyllis Schlafly for my stand in defense of the unborn. I share the view of our nation's founders that the primary responsibility of government is to protect the fundamental, natural human rights to life and liberty."

RNC/Life works to protect and defend the Republican Party's principled commitment to legal protection for all innocent human beings, from conception until natural death. They offered Pantano the following letter of support:

"We appreciate your heartfelt, truly pro-life stand. We wish you the best of luck in your race and look forward to working with you in the future to protect the inherent natural right to life of every innocent American, born and unborn," said RNC/Life founder, Phyllis Schlafly.

In addition, RNC/Life holds Republican lawmakers accountable to the pro-life principles in our platform. It is our desire to see those principles translated into public policy and law. Further, we encourage Republican Party officials to enthusiastically support pro-life candidates and policies consistent with our platform".

Congresswoman Virginia Foxx is the only other North Carolina Representative or candidate endorsed by the conservative group.
