Lance Discusses the Economy, Rising Gas Prices with Berkeley Heights Rotary

Press Release

Date: May 3, 2012
Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

n May 2, 2012, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) addressed the Berkeley Heights Rotary Club.

During the meeting, Lance discussed important issues before the Congress and answered questions from participants. Participants were most concerned about the state of the American economy, growing levels of debt and rising energy prices.

"Like so many Americans I believe the most important issue confronting the Nation is the state of the American economy," Lance said. "Congress must continue our efforts to enact fiscally responsible proposals that will bring growth, prosperity and certainty to our economy."

Congressman Lance also noted that as a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee he is working to enact legislation to help bring down fuel prices, create more American jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign energy.

"With gas prices in New Jersey on the rise we must adopt an 'all-of-the-above' energy policy -- including the Keystone pipeline -- that will provide badly needed energy independence and jobs," Lance added.
