Small Business Credit Availability Act

Statement

Date: April 29, 2012

On Wednesday, the House passed the Small Business Credit Availability Act, H.R. 3336. This bill revises the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act to provide smaller banks with relief from regulations governing the banks' ability to provide low-rate fixed loans to small businesses. It exempts small banks, credit unions, and farm credit banks from regulations that where meant to be aimed at larger banks. By improving credit availability to small and rural businesses, we can help these small businesses expand, create jobs, and boost our economy.
