Heller Statement on National Unemployment Figures

Statement

Date: May 4, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement regarding the national unemployment figures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics today:

"Any jobs added in this tough economy is welcome news. Unfortunately, Nevada continues to lead the country in unemployment. Far too many Nevadans are still out of work, underemployed, or have given up looking. People all over this great country are hurting and they want solutions. Congress needs to restore the confidence of the American people by developing an economic policy that reforms the tax code, gets rid of burdensome regulations, and lowers gas prices. Everyone deserves better, which is why I continue fighting every day to create jobs and get Nevadans back to work," said Senator Dean Heller.
