Health Care

Gemeral

The Congress and President have seen fit to ignore the people and have begun to destroy the finest health care system in the world. The system provided fast effective care in the case of emergencies and medications for treatment of disease. No one is refused treatment. The only area of concern is the cost of the system. The current law does nothing to reduce this cost. What it does do is reduce the incentive of doctors to develop new procedures and drug companies to develop new drugs. Which would add cost. I predict than under this Government plan the increase to the national debt will exceed 3 trillion Dollars in the first 10 years and 10 trillion Dollars in the second 10 years. I base this on the history of past Government spending programs. Cost over runs, corruption and fraud are the norm and seldom corrected, effectively or efficiently run, or result in any savings. I believe that the government program currently passed in order to control costs will result in the decrease of care to the senior citizens do to the formation of a cost benefit formula. If a procedure or treatment of an illness costs more than the expected life benefit determined by the government, it will be denied. This would be a means for the government to reduce the cost of not only health care, but, social security and all other senior programs. At the other end of the spectrum if a ultrasound or other test of a child in the womb shows a defect that would require life long medical care adding to the cost of health care. The government could recommend if not require and pay for an abortion YES I would support the repeal of this health care plan and replace it with a step by step plan that would through trial to see the effect of the changes on cost and care.

This would allow for corrective action if required as the proof of the changes are evident. YES I do support a reasonable time tested reform to health care. I do believe the following. Every Citizen should have access to health care. Every legal non-Citizen should be able to obtain there own access to health care. This to be obtained through purchase of insurance from employer or their country of origin All health insurance plans are to be uniform and transferable from one employer to another and health plans will be transferable from state to state. All health paperwork, forms, and codes to be standardized. If an insured citizen becomes ill is treated or cured and has to change insurance companies or moves to another state those conditions are continued to be covered and not preexisting. If an uninsured citizen becomes ill then that condition becomes preexisting and can be excluded. A legal standard to limit the amount of medical malpractice award for loss. No award for pain and suffering of parties other than the person receiving treatment. Awards to be limited to actual loss of earnings based on earnings for the expected lifespan of patient receiving treatment. Attorney fees to be limited to a percentage of the expected earnings. Additional limits on non-citizens No person legal or non-legal will be refused emergency treatment. Non-Citizens legal or illegal treatment costs to be billed to country of origin Illegal persons to be returned to country of origin when treatment complete.

Medicare, Medicade and Social Security

The Medicare and Medicage programs are in need of reform in order to make them viable for the future. I would support a program where Citizens currently on the program and Senior Citizens 55 and over there will be no change. Gradually increase retirement age to 75. Means test where Citizens with an income of $250,000 or more are able to obtain private medical insurence coverage.
