Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Addresses the Navy Jet Crash in Virginia

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Senior Member of the House Homeland Security Committee, addressed the Navy F-18 Fighter Jet crash that happened in Virginia Beach, VA on April 6.

The two pilots in the two-seater fighter jet ejected before the jet crashed near an apartment building in Virginia Beach. There are reports of at least 2 people injured in the crash. There are not yet any cases of people confirmed missing in the area.

"Today's crash is a tragedy. I hope those on the ground and the crew are alright. I trust that our Navy officials in the area are doing all they can to keep people safe," said Jackson Lee. "I look forward to seeing a complete investigation by the U.S. Military on why and how this incident occurred."
