Guinta Statement on the Passage of the JOBS Act

Statement

Date: March 27, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

The House of Representatives today approved H.R. 3606, the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act) with bipartisan support. The package of bills is designed to remove red tape and help startup small businesses and entrepreneurs get established, access capital and create jobs. Representative Frank Guinta (R, NH-01) issued the following statement:

"Granite Staters consistently tell me the need for middle class jobs is their top concern. I voted for the bipartisan JOBS Act because it can revive the stalled entrepreneurial spirit and help New Hampshire's small businesses start hiring again. This legislation provides incentives for job creators to begin expanding payrolls and putting more people to work. In fact, President Obama highlighted some of these very issues in his State of the Union address. I'm pleased the Senate broke from its recent pattern and joined with the House to pass this much-needed legislation. This cooperation has been a long time coming and is welcome news. I urge the Senate to keep the momentum going and pass the approximately 30 other job-creating bills the House has sent it."
