Issue Position: The Budget

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2012

Our National budget is out of control. We simply cannot keep spending money this way. Both parties are guilty of it. I am a small government conservative and constitutionalist who believes we must reduce the size of government and reduce spending. Most of our elected officials have never operated a private business and have no idea of what the average small business person faces with the never ending taxes and spending and over regulaton. Our government is too big, spends too much money, and is no longer responsive to the voice of the people.

In Congress, I will vote to reduce spending and cut the size of Government. The first question I will ask is ''can we afford it?'' My years of experience running a farming operation in the Ozarks will serve me well in Congress. I know how to balance my budget, now it 's time to take that experience to Washington. Our current Representative's years of experience told her to give the banks and insurance companies $700 BILLION DOLLARS of money we do not have and now have no idea where it went.
