Hultgren Applauds House Passage Of The JOBS Act

Statement

Date: March 8, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren (IL-14) today released the following statement after joining 389 of his colleagues in voting for H.R. 3606, the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act.

"The bipartisan JOBS Act will help our small business community expand, hire, and contribute to our economy," said Hultgren. "The JOBS Act helps small businesses access the capital they need to get started and create jobs. It also removes outdated regulatory barriers to small business growth. Roughly three-quarters of all new jobs come from small businesses, making their growth crucial to the health of our economy; I firmly believe that the JOBS Act gives them the tools they need to succeed. President Obama supports the JOBS Act, as do 390 members of the House of Representatives. I hope that the Senate will quickly vote on this commonsense jobs legislation and send it to the President."

The JOBS Act is endorsed by an array of pro-business groups, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council, and the Independent Community Bankers of America. It also has the support of entrepreneurs including AOL co-founder Steve Case.
