Combating Violence Against Women

Statement

Last week I signed my name in support of the Violence Against Women Act, a life saving bill that gives law enforcement the tools it needs to hold offenders accountable while supporting victims. Since its inception in 1994, the rate of violence against women has decreased 53% and reporting by women has increased substantially. While great strides have been made, much work remains to be done.
