I know what having a strong education system can mean to a community. It means the chance for new jobs by recruiting new business and industry -- because of the quality of the schools. It means safer communities, because when young people can see a better future, they avoid drugs, joining gangs and a life of crime. It means new opportunities for adults who want to better themselves or learn new skills to improve their chances for a better job. I Believe In:

Investing in early childhood education

After school programs that keep our kids off the streets

Protecting the Promise Scholarship

Innovative drop-out prevention programs

Fighting for smaller class sizes

Imporving technology in the classroom

Supporting sdult education programs

Anti-gangs programs that make our schools safe learning environments
