Ribble Statement on Conclusion of Iraq War

Today, Representative Reid Ribble (WI-8) released the following statement on the conclusion of the nine-year war in Iraq and the final withdrawal of American troops.

"Today, members of our military will complete their withdrawal from Iraq. While the media, historians, politicians, and military experts weigh the cost, I would like to first step aside and say thank you. I am thankful for the sacrifice of tens of thousands of American families who experienced this war firsthand as their own sons, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers and fathers went abroad, many for multiple deployments to fight the war. I am thankful to our soldiers who represent the best America has to offer. I am thankful for those who gave the supreme sacrifice and lost their lives, and I am thankful to our wounded who have come home. Most of all I am thankful that the war has ended."
