Following the recent announcements that three area refineries are seeking to sell or idle their facilities in Marcus Hook, Trainer and Philadelphia, I have been working together with my colleagues in Congress, state and local leaders, and representatives from area unions, Sunoco and Conoco Phillips.Together, we are dedicated to finding a buyer for these facilities and doing all we can to save the thousands of jobs at stake.This week, I met with the CEO of Sunoco. The Daily Times wrote an article about our meeting as well as a request for an economic impact study. The Daily Times wrote an editorial on this issue, "Real families, real people behind refinery numbers."
