U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney (FL-16), who sits on the House Armed Services and Intelligence Committees, today strongly urged the Obama Administration to consult with Congress on military action in Uganda.

"The Administration and Congress need to work together in accordance with the Constitution and the rule of law to establish a clear policy for U.S. military action in Uganda," Rooney said. "I strongly urge President Obama to consult with Congress, explain his decision to send American ground troops into Uganda, and clearly define our mission and objectives. If putting boots on the ground is in our national security interest, then the President needs to make that case to Congress and the American people."
