Yesterday the U.S. House of Representatives passed H. Con. Res. 13, a measure to reaffirm "In God We Trust" as America's national motto. Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3), an original cosponsor of the bill, voted in favor of supporting and encouraging the public display of the national motto in all public buildings, public schools, and other government institutions. The resolution passed by a vote of 396-9.

"This resolution not only reaffirms our national motto, but it calls on America to trust God once again," said Jones. "In recent years God and faith have been removed from public view and it is time to go back to the ideas and beliefs upon which this country was founded."
