As Delegate, consumer protection advocate and attorney, I have dedicated my life to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community. I understand the devastating economic consequences that result from being taken advantage of by companies that engage in unethical and deceitful business practices.

While I was pleased the General Assembly has made reforms on "payday" and car title loans, I believe that until our commonwealth and nation are on better footing economically, we need to do more. I support a 36 percent interest cap on all loans originating in the Commonwealth.

Through my work as a consumer advocate attorney, I have fought to save people's homes from predatory mortgage lenders and unlawful foreclosures, prevented people from losing their cars so they can get to work every day, worked with Marine and Navy service men and women to protect their good credit standing and ensured that the hard working members of our community have a strong voice in their defense when being taken advantage of by those who seek to exploit them. As your representative in the House of Delegates I will continue to be a strong advocate for those in our community whose voices are not otherwise being heard.
