Today, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Roadless Area Conservation Rule. This rule, implemented by President Clinton in 2001, protects nearly 50 million acres of roadless areas in National Forests nationwide.

Chairman Bingaman: "This is an important ruling that will protect critical watersheds and water supplies in New Mexico and around the country."
