Coffman Commemorates 10th Anniversary of September 11th Attacks

Statement

Date: Sept. 9, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

House Armed Services Committee member U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Aurora) released the following statement commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:

"Our nation was profoundly altered by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Like so many other Americans, in the decade that followed, I answered my nation's call to arms and returned to the United States Marine Corps where I served in Iraq. In Iraq, I was deeply impressed with the young men and women who serve our nation in defense of our freedom. It is my memory of their unyielding determination and of their extraordinary sacrifices that gives me hope that America can weather any storm and that the best days for our country lay ahead of us."
