Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Rep. Karen Bass stood alongside members of the Democratic Caucus in strong support of the American Jobs Act proposed by President Obama at a Capitol Hill press conference today.

In a united voice, Democrats offered a clear path to help small businesses succeed and expand their business through hiring, provide tax relief for workers and rebuild American schools and bridges.

"We must work together to put our country back to work and President Obama's American Jobs Act does exactly that," said U.S. Rep. Karen Bass. "It is our responsibility to deliver on what the American people sent us here to do, and end the ongoing, ideological grandstanding put forward by the Republican right. We must fight for our country's future and that begins with passing a meaningful jobs bill now."

Immediately after the President's jobs address to the nation last week, Rep. Bass hosted a telephone town hall and called over 30,000 of her Los Angeles constituents in support of the bill.
