US-Israel Relationship

I stand with many of other Members of Congress with an unquestionable, unwavering commitment to the people of Israel and the further progress in the Middle East peace process. Being honest and straightforward with our allies is an important part of international diplomacy. We must do everything in our power to confirm our commitment to Israel, and preserve our longstanding relationship with the Israeli government, and the Israeli people.

The current Administration has created a level of hostility with misguided statements, and has undermined the peace process that is essential to all of us. This attitude antagonizes our long time ally, and emboldens Israel's enemies- nations like Iran that have called for destruction of Israel and whose nuclear ambitions are a threat to the safety and security for all nations in the region, as well as the United States. Israel should not have to question America's commitment to its security.

Rep. Grimm is the Co-Chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus.
