Promoting both job creation and growth during his 20 years in the State Senate, Billy Hewes has been a part of some of Mississippi's most historic legislation. He has worked to:

* create thousands of new jobs with state assistance to operations like our state port, Northrop Grumman, Nissan, Toyota, Severstal, and American Eurocopter;
* adopt Mississippi's Rainy Day Fund and hold the line on excessive spending;
* support the adoption of the strongest pro-life laws in our country;
* make college more affordable for Mississippi families through the MTAG and MPACT programs;
* approve the largest increases in education funding in our state's history;
* pass legislation ending rampant lawsuit abuse in Mississippi;
