In response to the latest unfounded claims by a desperate candidate, Amodei Communications Director Peter DeMarco today issued the following statement:

"Mark Amodei's support to preserve and protect Medicare for future generations is clear, and his vote as a State Senator proves it. Kate Marshall and the Nevada Democrat Party really should get their facts straight, and it's laughable that they feel the need to lie just because Mark's record is better than hers.
"On March 9, 2009, Amodei voted for SJR 4 which "Urges Congress to fund fully and protect the Medicare program:'

"Kate Marshall is trying to distract attention away from her failed record and it's not surprising that she feels they have to lie. By endorsing ObamaCare, she supports the provisions that cut Medicare by $500 billion. Kate Marshall cannot have it both ways: she needs to stop these scare tactics and acknowledge she supports the Obama-Reid plan to cut Medicare."
