In front of a roomful of potential voters Jon Huntsman stood tall Saturday afternoon when he made his pitch for the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination.

"I am not going to stand around and watch the end of the American century," said the 51-year-old former Governor of Utah. "I am not going to stand by and think it is OK for my seven kids to get the country that's less good than we got."

Huntsman has plenty of experience in the political arena. He has worked for four Presidents in addition to his one term in Utah.

He resigned from that position in 2009 after President Obama appointed him to be the United States ambassador to China. Huntsman has his sights set on making sure Obama does not get a second term in the White House.

"When my country asked me to serve I'm going to stand up and do that, I'm always going to put my country first and foremost," he says. "I've got a record to go on. I've got business experience and international experience. I think all of those three elements are going to be critically important to the voters of this country."
