Reeves Launches TV Ad "Enough' in Three New Markets

Press Release

Date: June 15, 2011
Location: Flowood, MS

Republican candidate for Lt. Governor Tate Reeves announced today that his campaign will be expanding its television advertising campaign into three new markets later this week. The ad called "Enough,' which is on the air now in Jackson, Hattiesburg and select cable systems will begin airing in the Biloxi-Gulfport market tomorrow and in the Meridian and Columbus-Tupelo areas on Friday.

The ad has been the subject of misleading negative attacks by Reeves' opponent.

"I'm proud to stand by this ad as well as my record as State Treasurer," said Reeves. "If I'm elected Lt. Governor, our position will be that if we can't afford to do it, then we're not going to just borrow money and do it anyway. State funds come out of the pockets of hard-working Mississippians, and we need to be more effective at remembering that and more efficient in the way we spend tax dollars. We should only increase the state's debt in situations where we have the opportunity to attract investment capital and create a significant number of new jobs in Mississippi."
